Jess Brewster was a artist living Bellingham WA who was a wood carver. Very little of his work ever comes on the market, he was, as it was reported to me, did not promote or sell his work and kind of down played the " artist " title. Yet this is a pretty creative mixture of North Coast Indian animal eyes in kind of a mid century modern panel. Not sure of the wood, perhaps a stained fir or pine.

This is 11 inches wide, 24 inches high, about 5/8 inches thick. NOTE, the carving has more of a matte finish than my photos which seem to want to make the piece more glossy. A very unique and lovely carving.
